These words seem to be out of the blue for anyone applying for the job of interest but what makes this a ground reality?

Just like a building stays strong on its pillars; the right approach to writing a resume makes it in contrast with others

It is necessary to write a resume using formal language to approach the audience in a professional way for that, it is binding upon the applicant to not use contractions like:

  5. Weren’t 

Furthermore, the applicant must always write in the first tense approaching the audience with words and phrases like:

Always be direct in your approach and precise to the point for it leaves a lasting impression on the audience. Most of the resumes are not considered because of the style that makes it boring and dry.

Persuasive conclusive statements like “I hope you find me as the best fit for the post” or “Waiting for your positive response” or “Hoping to be the best match”, can stir a ripple effect on the audience.

Now that the language and guide on how to write a ‘resume’ have been jotted down, there comes the main task i.e. “What to write in a ‘resume’?”

The pieces of the puzzle:

The foremost thing a person has to mention is his ‘biodata’.

Mention everything related to you i.e.

  1. Name
  2. Address
  3. Gender
  4. Current Occupancy
  5. Age
  1. Education

Mention education in a chronological order ranging from the early education to college degree/post graduate degree and beyond to give the audience an idea of your schooling and standard of education received.

  1. College Degree:

Always mention the name of the institute, year of completion and the grade points attained throughout to keep the audience informed about the academic excellence.

  1. Social Work:

 It is cherry on top to mention extracurricular activities i.e., community service, donation drives, first aid services to make your resume be different from the rest thus making it be a mirror to your empathy with the society and assisting you to be a better choice to serve the humanity in a smooth way.

  1. Research:

Research work and published articles in the medical journals speak volumes. It is the very artistic representation of your expertise in the field and aim to enhance them further.

  1. Prior experience:

Prior job experience in different medical setups be it primary, secondary or tertiary care hospitals signifies the applicant’s ability and experience to deal with workload and complete tasks in the given time frame. Not only this, but gives an impression about prior handling of equipment and related stuff thus making it easier for you to be a better choice.

  1. Additional Skills:

Mentioning skills and expertise in the field of medicine prove to be significant for any given resume.

  1. Certifications:

It is important to highlight as many certifications in your resume as possible to make it the one to be considered.

This is the summary of the basic tools to write and submit a resume in the most professional way and make it the one that is highlighted amongst others.
